INTRODUCTION

Using the latest G.SHDSL technology based on TC-PAM modulation (G.991.2), the AEMODSL V11 extends the range of an equipment that uses an X.21 serial interface. The bitrates are selectable from 64 to 2048 Kbps. This extends value-added performance to the available copper infrastructure.

OVERVIEW

AEMODSL V11: X.21 / G.SHDSL equipment:

AEMODSL V11 is an X.21 / SHDSL converter designed for delivering variable high-speed transmission access over a single, or two copper pairs. This allows the use of existing infrastructure and can therefore increase the return on investment. Available with up to two G.SHDSL interfaces, the AEMODSL V11 extends the range of an X.21 device up to 5 km at 2048 kbps without the need for a repeater. It is possible to double or triple that reach using one or two repeaters.

MAIN FEATURES

- Device with both NTU function and an X.21 service access function providing high-speed data transfer at rates from 64 kbps to 2048 kbps.
- Operates over two or four wires (one or two pairs) at variable bitrates increasing the range before the need of a repeater.
- Repeaters available to double or triple the reach.
- Compact standalone unit or 19" - 4U central office rack up to 16 cards (16 to 32 links available).
- Optional line-powered feature of the repeaters and/or the remote standalone unit.
- Remote management via FLEX'NMS II management system (SNMP).

APPLICATION SCENARIO

Remote access solution for Telco's and businesses (e.g. LAN to LAN connection)

Network access solution for Telco's (e.g. TDM leased line access service)
