INTRODUCTION |
Designed around Oracle® relational data-base, FLEXSTATION II makes it possible to connect several network administrators simultaneously to the data-base. Its multiple User Interfaces control each NTU under a true client/server architecture, ensuring that everyone has access to the latest view of the network. FLEXSTATION II software graphical interface is designed to show each FLEXRATE® in a hierarchy tree, allowing an easy access to information about your network. |

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS |
Two software packages:
Three access levels according to user authorisation profile:
Supervisor
Configurator
Administrator
FLEXNMS connection to the network:
FLEXNMS is composed of a communication server, containing the data-base, and of AECIP® and FLEXPRO® mediation devices aimed at collecting all the management information coming from the equipments. Connection between AECIP® and FLEXPRO® mediation devices, manufactured by AETA.COM, and the communication server is achieved in IP via a serial or Ethernet link. IP connection of FLEXNMS allows to dispatch the communication server and its client stations all over regional points of presence.
Communication server features:
Runs LINUX
Uses SQL query
Collects management information using IP over Ethernet or/and RS232 link
Several Communication servers can coexist to share the load
Included mirrored database disks
Optional data-base replication
Optional SNMP proxy agent:
SNMP proxy agent implemented into FLEXNMS allows to manage all NTUs under higher level management platform such as HP OPENVIEW.
